Myths of the Top 3 Pipe

Trenchless tube alternatives are used mainly if some of the sewer tube problems are not subject to other grades of trenchless sewer repair – trenchless tube rehabilitation techniques. Due to its fragile condition, pipe corroded, crumbled or close to collapse cannot be restored.

A better and more efficient solution is the use of trench-free methods to replace tubing; it is much more efficient and easier to remove the old tube. The excavation in the replacement of the trenchless pipes is much less than the usual open excavation which actually destroys the land. Piping is a popular way to replace the trenchless pipe. This method contains many misunderstandings and false information. Learn more about the myths of the top pipe.

  1. Pipe explosion can only be applied if the pipes cannot be excavated

While this is one of the situations where pipe bursting is optimal, in fact this method can be used in many circumstances:

  • The damaged pipes must be repaired but extensive excavation is too expensive and avoidable.
  • High traffic in the surrounding workplace
  • The repair needs to be carried out as soon as possible
  • The pipe replacement interruption should be maintained at minimum or zero
  • The entire tube structure must be increased

2. It is more messy than pipes or other techniques for rehabilitation

Some situations occur in which there must first be certain digging sites before a pipe explosion begins, because there was no proper entry point for the new pipe or because a collapsed section of the main pipeline must be removed. The tubes that burst can not really be compared to any other tube rehabilitation method, since they are totally different solutions for the tube repair. They are completely different. Pipe bursting is of course a bit messier because the pipes must be removed from the main pipeline, while restoration methods insert only the structure of the pipeline and/or the liner for sewer pipes.

3. The bursting of pipes is very costly and must be a final resort when replacing pipes

Back in the 2000s, it was indeed expensive to burst tubes because the pipe was not widely used between contractors and the method had not yet been refined. Pipe bursting is now one of the cheapest solutions available in the trenchless tubing substitution industry. Actually, the total cost of using tube bursts is significantly lower than the major replacement of excavation tubes. The reason is that the excavations necessary in the explosion of the pipes are actually too small to be seen as a destructive process, even a negligible amount of excavation. Bursting pipe is a competitive and cost-effective substitution method with many advantages. When replacing pipes, it continues to be a favorite choice.

4. HDPE is the only tube used for explosive tube

When it comes to pipe burs, this is an extremely common myth or misconception. In the pneumatic type of bursting method, HDPE is the only pipe used. Static tubes can use different types of tubing on the other hand, such as PVC, ductile iron, etc.
